Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a contract or set of terms and conditions which includes a confidentiality clause?
Yes, client confidentiality is essential. Read more here.
Do you offer a sample edit?
Yes, I provide a free sample edit of 7-10 pages so you can get an idea of the workflow and see if we are a good fit.
Can we speak on the phone or via Zoom?
Yes, of course! Sometimes, email and messaging can create unnecessary confusion, so if we need to schedule meetings, I am more than happy to discuss questions and concerns over the phone or other virtual platforms.
How long will the edit take?
That depends on several factors. Deadlines, word count, editing expectations, and services being provided are all considered. I generally advise against rushing the editing process, but if the edits are needed urgently, the price will be adjusted to compensate for the quick return time. If it is not an expedited case, the time frame will be fully discussed and agreed upon before signing the contract.
Can I ask follow-up questions after the edit is completed?
Absolutely. I will gladly assist if you want clarification on my edits or have any questions about the work. You can email me anytime at emilyseditsandproofreading@gmail.com. We can also schedule a time to talk over the phone or meet virtually to discuss things further.
